Towing device
A slim drawbar makes for a tight turning circle and, in turn, an ultra-compact vehicle. With a wide range of different hole patterns available, we can provide all tow hitches.
- Cushions jolts on poor roads for a smoother ride
- Designed with rubber silent blocks that have good inherent damping
- By simply switching over the locking pins, multiple trailer heights can be set (55 to 90 cm with standard tyres)
- The vehicle is equipped with a bottom hitch coupling, this results in much better handling and improved road safety

Small turning circle
The slim design of the drawbar makes for a very large steering angle and significantly reduces the turning circle. With the optional positive steering, the adjustable collision protection guard can be tailored to the tractor.

Chassis
For our chassis we use only rectangular tubing made of high-grade steel that is sealed all round; no cheap pressed steel or welded constructions. The large-volume rectangular tubing saves weight, is extremely torsion-resistant and has no open joints or cracks, making it easy to clean. Visually too, it makes a good, clean and neat impression.

Running gear Air suspension
The air suspension ensures a smooth ride, even on unpaved roads. Fitted with level control valve + ALB as standard for consistent ride height. Large springs paired with 360 mm air bellows ensure maximum comfort even with a high payload. Automatic lowering of the running gear when tipping out the load ensures a high degree of stability. All components come from the trucking sector and have a robust, durable design .

Axles
BPW axles with automatic slack adjusters, axle cross-section 120 x 120 mm, track width 1.95 m, wheel brake 410 x 120 mm, 10-hole wheel end 10.0 t single axle load at 40 km/h

Lighting system
High-end 3-chamber rear lights with impact-resistant lens; all lights feature LEDs; secured by a stable light support with “pitched roof” to prevent the accumulation of dirt.

Hook-lift tandem body
Hook-lift body:
- Hook height 1.57 m, hook system mount in accordance with DIN 30 722 Part 1
- As all hydraulic cylinders are dual-acting, only a minimal amount of oil is required
Operating principle:
- Only three dual-acting control units are needed on the towing vehicle for the two main working cylinders, the push arm and the hydraulic container locking mechanism
- Two main working cylinders for the tipping frame offer maximum stability and torsion resistance if containers are hoisted at an angle
- The standard push arm ensures a very low lifting angle
- Due to the push arm, the tongue load on the towing vehicle can be adjusted as required by simply moving the container
- Containers of different lengths can be used
- The push arm can also be used to set the required tipping height (rear overhang)
- If the push arm is fully retracted, the hook device automatically switches from "Tip container" to "Lower or raise container", this means that the driver no longer has to climb down and can control all functions from the cab
- A hydraulic internal locking mechanism is supplied as standard that also allows containers with different lengths to be locked in place in any position
- When raising and tipping containers, the air is released from the running gear bellows (fast lowering valve), a process which offers a host of advantages:
- The lowered roller height results in a very low lift angle
- The effectiveness of the two main working cylinders is improved, as their associated tilt angle gets bigger and this in turn increases the lifting capacity
- When lifting the containers, the chassis is supported on the rear axle, eliminating the need for complex hydraulic support
- The standard level control valve also means that a laden vehicle always stays at the same ride height and the loading height is extremely low
- The stability when tipping and emptying the roll-off containers is increased
- Outstanding ride comfort is ensured thanks to the air suspension (on- and offroad)

Push arm
All hook-lift trailers are equipped with a push arm as standard. This offers many advantages: Different tongue loads on the tow hitch by simply moving the container from the driver’s seat Containers of different lengths can be used without any problem Favourable lift angle of the containers (approx. 22° to 28°, depending on the container length) Infinitely variable adjustment of the rear overhang when tipping Infinitely variable adjustment of the overhang in relation to the underride guard (as per EU type approval and German Road Traffic Regulations (StVZO), 40 cm is allowed) Taring of the weight for different loads, e.g., transporting machinery on a loading bed

Hydraulic container locking mechanism
A hydraulic container locking mechanism is fitted as standard on Krampe hook-lift trailers and is a must-have on all professional trailers. This can be used to lock the container into any position, such as to set the rear overhang when tipping, for example. Another major advantage over the conventional DIN locking mechanism is that it can also be used to transport containers of different lengths. Transporting containers with different lengths has a significant impact on the tongue load on the towing vehicle. The desired tongue load on the tow hitch can be set by moving the containers. The hydraulic container locking mechanism is protected by a push-button valve, i.e., with the locking mechanism extended, the container cannot be set down on the ground.

Auxiliary tipping cylinder
Hugely increases the tipping power with a raised container particularly if this has been pushed fully forward by extending the push arm
- Reduces the load on the chassis and the tipping frame in the start phase of tipping to get over what is known as the “dead point”, as the main working cylinders are arranged very flat due to the low installation height
