The new Krampe single-axle three-way tipper FlexBody EDK6-400
After Krampe presented a tandem and a two-axle model of its new FlexBody three-way tipper in spring 2025, the next model in this series is now following: the compact FlexBody EDK6-400 single-axle three-way tipper with a gross vehicle weight of 6 tonnes is celebrating its premiere at Agritechnica.
Thanks to the flexible combination of 60 and 80 cm side walls, the new tipper can transport between 4.8 and 14.7 m³ of transport volume.
The FlexBody series is based on a modular vehicle concept – available as a single-axle, tandem or two-axle three-way tipper. The chassis, bridge and side walls can be combined using a modular principle and can be adapted precisely to the respective operating conditions. This brings clear economic advantages – from production and spare parts to retrofits, even for existing machines.
The newly developed profile side walls combine low empty weight with high stability. The continuous groove, developed in-house, allows flexible installation of connecting elements by simple clamping without welding. The closed chassis remains virtually free of dirt, while tipping angles of 42° (sideways) and 48° (rear) ensure fast and safe unloading.
The new FlexBody EDK6-400 impresses with numerous well-thought-out details that make it a versatile and reliable partner in daily use. It can be optionally equipped with a grain chute, a discharge chute, additional hydraulic connections and a rear trailer coupling for towing a second trailer. Interchangeable bolts provide additional safety, reliably preventing operating errors during the tipping process.
The FlexBody is also flexible when it comes to optional equipment: several tyre sizes from 380/55 R17 to 500/50 R17 are available. Optional side wall lift springs guarantee a high level of operating comfort, while the hydraulic side wall locking and unlocking system ensures easy and safe handling.
In addition, the FlexBody EDK6-400 comes with an overrun brake as standard. Handy, cranked closing levers and levers with dead centre kinematics round off the well-thought-out overall concept.
The FlexBody EDK6-400 is flexible, user-friendly and economical.
