New Krampe "AluTop" cover Fast and weatherproof load securing

Krampe is expanding its product portfolio with a cover solution developed in-house: the new AluTop combines the speed of the well-known FlexTop with the weather resistance of classic tarpaulin covers such as roll-up or roll-over tarpaulins. It thus closes a gap in the range of covering systems.

The hydraulically operated cover is moved by low-maintenance cylinders and is impressively easy to use. 

The AluTop offers an optimal solution, particularly regarding country-specific regulations on load securing, such as in the Netherlands, where 90% of the load must be covered with a solid material during earthworks. The system presses firmly onto the body, ensuring reliable coverage.

The new convertible top system also offers advantages when transporting sensitive goods: it can be operated quickly, saving valuable time and protecting potatoes, for example, not only from rain but also from excessive sunlight.

Thanks to its aluminum construction, the additional weight remains moderate. The AluTop has already proven itself in practice on the Heavy Duty HD700, BigBody 800 and Halfpipe HP24 models, among others. It is planned to be available for all BigBody and earthmoving tipper models in the future.

Compatible trailers with AluTop fitted can be ordered ex works from 2026. Retrofitting existing Krampe trailers will also be possible from 2026. There are currently no plans to use the system for trailers from other manufacturers.

The new Krampe AluTop is a well-designed and practical cover system that reliably meets both legal requirements and the high demands of users.
