New hook boosts tipping power

Complementing our extensive product range of hook lift trailers, roll-off semi trailers were added to our product range many years ago in 2006. After all, these swap systems offer great versatility and flexibility.

The new hook lift system from the Dutch manufacturer VDL ads further advantages to these trailers by increasing their technical tipping capability. The new SHL 20 hook lift trailer offers lifting power of up to 30 tonnes and a tipping capacity of up to 32 tonnes.

Featuring optimised payloads, these semi trailers come into their own when loads of high specific weights are transported. Typically, tractor semi trailer combinations usually offer a higher payload of about 2 t than multiple-trailer truck combinations.

Furthermore, the semi trailers from Krampe with hook lifts also stand out for high transport speeds, easier operation and greater agility – especially on sites that are tight for space.

The air-suspended chassis features optionally an axle lift and a start-off function as well as a manometer that indicates the pressure inside the bellows so these adjust to individual loads. Featuring a radio remote control including a control panel as standard specification, the machine allows operators to control the hook remotely from the ground and effectively monitor all processes so nothing can go wrong while unloading.

The new VDL-hooklift was presented at the international IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Germany in September 2014 and has since performed successfully and reliably in the field.
