Krampe presents the new Radium 830S Efficiency meets safety
At the end of 2024, Krampe Fahrzeugbau GmbH acquired the rights to the traditional Radium forage wagon series from Kaweco. With this step, Krampe is expanding its product portfolio with a proven series that is perfectly positioned between the BigBody tipper trailers and the RamBody push-off trailers. Krampe is thus strengthening its role as a full-liner in the field of agricultural transport technology and at the same time setting new standards in efficiency, safety and comfort.
New model: Radium 830S
The first model in the new series, which will be officially unveiled at Agritechnica 2025, is the Radium 830S. The "S" indicates that it is equipped with discharge rollers, which ensure even and precise unloading – ideal for silo use. The discharge roller and floor chain speeds are perfectly coordinated to ensure optimum distribution of the material. Farmers benefit from significant time savings when levelling and compacting the clamp.
Four robust chains are driven by a double drive. The low-maintenance floor chain is protected between the chassis and the construction and runs quietly on plastic rails. Bolted cross struts in combination with a hot-dip galvanised floor ensure clean and fast unloading. With a transport volume of 42 m³, an internal payload of approx. 22 tonnes and an unloading time of only 45 seconds, the Radium 830S is one of the most efficient silage wagons on the market.
Technology that impresses
The chassis is based on the proven Krampe RamBody series. In combination with the BPW bogie chassis, it ensures high stability and traction, even on uneven terrain. Alternatively, hydraulic or pneumatic suspended chassis are available to meet the various requirements in agriculture. A foldable underrun protection ensures greater ground clearance, e.g. at the clamp.
Safety through innovation
A special highlight is the integrated AI camera for person detection in the rear area. It increases safety during unloading processes and protects both people and machines.
Like all Krampe vehicles, the Radium 830S is delivered with EU type approval – for uncomplicated registration throughout Europe and maximum value retention.
Future-oriented and reliable
With the Radium 830S, Krampe combines the best of two worlds: Dutch experience in forage transport and German engineering for driving comfort, safety and durability.
The comprehensive Krampe dealer network guarantees first-class local service and a reliable supply of spare parts.
For the 2026 maize harvest, the series will be expanded to include the Radium 1030S, a tridem version with a Transport volume of 52 m³.
