Krampe expands Radium range with new forage transport wagons

With the Radium 900 and Radium 1030, Krampe Fahrzeugbau GmbH is expanding its range of professional forage transport wagons. Following the successful market launch of the Radium 830, Krampe is systematically extending the product line with two additional models designed to meet different transport requirements.

Proven concept systematically developed further
The foundation for this development was laid at the end of 2024, when Krampe acquired the rights to Kaweco’s long-established Radium forage transport wagon range. With the Radium series, Krampe combines Dutch expertise in forage transport with German engineering. The vehicles are designed to deliver a high level of driving comfort, robust technology and cost-effective operation even under demanding working conditions.

Since the acquisition, Krampe has continuously developed the series and systematically integrated it into its own product portfolio. The Radium 830 has already established itself in both domestic and international markets. Machines are currently in operation in the Netherlands, Austria, Poland and Scandinavia, among other regions, as well as in Germany. The optional air suspension provides optimum ground adaptation, particularly on soft soils, while also ensuring smooth operation when driving over silage clamps and efficient unloading.

Building on this success, Krampe is now expanding the range with two additional models. The Radium 900 combines a large loading volume with a tandem-axle configuration, while the Radium 1030 is designed as a tridem model for maximum transport capacity.

Radium 900 – more loading volume on two axles
The Radium 900 combines a large loading volume with the advantages of a tandem-axle vehicle. It is particularly suitable for contractors and farms looking to combine high transport performance with compact dimensions.

Technical specifications

  • Transport volume: 47 m³ (water capacity)
  • Permissible gross weight: 24,000 kg
  • Payload for on-farm use: approx. 22,000 kg
  • Suspension options: bogie, air or hydraulic suspension

Radium 1030 – high transport capacity with tridem chassis
As the largest model in the range, the Radium 1030 is designed for a high transport performance and is particularly well suited to high-output harvesting operations.

Technical specifications

  • Transport volume: 52 m³ (water capacity)
  • Permissible gross weight: 34,000 kg
  • Payload for on-farm use: approx. 28,000 kg
  • Air-sprung tridem chassis as standard; hydraulic suspension available as an option

Advantages of the new Radium models

  • Large loading volume for efficient transport logistics
  • High payload capacities for cost-effective transport
  • Flexible suspension concepts for different operating conditions
  • Available as P version (without metering rollers) or S version (with metering rollers)
  • Hydraulically folding underride guard for increased ground clearance on silage clamps

Versions for different requirements

Like the Radium 830, the new Radium 900 and Radium 1030 are available in either P or S versions.

The P version operates without metering rollers and, depending on the application, is available with either a hydraulic or mechanical scraper-floor drive. The S version features metering rollers that ensure an even material flow and controlled distribution of the harvested crop. This reduces the effort required for spreading and compacting material on the silage clamp, increasing overall harvesting capacity.

The metering rollers and scraper floor are optimally matched to ensure a uniform unloading pattern at high working speeds. With unloading times starting at just 45 seconds, the Radium range ranks among the highest-performing forage transport wagons in its class.

Four robust conveyor chains are driven by a dual-drive system. The low-maintenance floor chain is protected between the chassis and the body and runs quietly on plastic rails. Bolted crossbars and a hot-dip galvanised floor help ensure fast and complete unloading.

Extensive equipment options
A wide range of equipment options is available for the Radium series. These include various steering systems – such as electronic forced steering – as well as an access hatch for maintenance and cleaning work and a hydraulically adjustable drawbar.

A particularly noteworthy equipment feature is the integrated AI camera for detecting people in the rear working area. It assists the driver during unloading and enhances the safety of both people and machinery in the immediate working environment.

Focus on cost efficiency and service
Large loading volumes, short unloading times and a range of suspension and tyre options make the Radium series a cost-effective solution for agricultural contractors and larger farming operations.

The product offering is complemented by Krampe’s extensive dealer network, providing reliable spare parts availability and comprehensive service support.

Like all vehicles from the manufacturer, the models in the Radium series are supplied with EU type approval. This facilitates straightforward registration throughout Europe and contributes to the vehicles’ long-term value retention.
